- Cut new growth hair from the nape of the neck and back of the head (not just the tip).

The test was used primarily for testing Mercury toxicity and confirmed this using the counting method. Correctly identified my adrenal exhaustion, my metabolic type and that I have type 2 insomnia where you fall asleep okay but wake in the early hours and sometimes struggle getting back to sleep. Interestingly showed my potassium to be very low, whilst a serum blood test a week later showed a high blood level. The hair test was confirming that the potassium was not being transported to the cells and was much more useful than a blood test. Good value for money.
